May 2026: Charitable Donation Committee selects third quarter recipients
Each quarter, Adams Keegan’s Charitable Donation Committee meets to review and vote on donation requests submitted over the previous quarter. The committee is made up of employees who have been recognized as “Employee of the Year” through our employee-nominated Quarterly TEAM Awards program. Together, they evaluate requests submitted by employees for nonprofits that are meaningful to them, along with opportunities shared through external community partners.
The committee met in April and selected the following organizations and initiatives for third quarter support:
Community LIFT
We partnered with our client, Community LIFT, in support of the 2026 Creative Placemaking Summit, themed “Building Bridges: Connecting Communities through Culture and Commerce.” Community LIFT’s mission is to accelerate the revitalization of disinvested neighborhoods and help create a thriving Memphis for all. The summit brings together leaders, creatives, and community stakeholders to explore how culture, commerce, and collaboration can strengthen neighborhoods and create long-term opportunity.
Memphis Civitan
We sponsored a Mahjong fundraising event benefiting Memphis Civitan, an organization focused on fellowship, community involvement, personal development, and service. Memphis Civitan places a strong emphasis on supporting children and adults with developmental disabilities through programs and community engagement initiatives that create meaningful impact across the region.
CodeCrew
We partnered with our client, CodeCrew, to sponsor the EXCITE Awards, the organization’s signature event celebrating individuals and organizations advancing excellence in computation, information, technology, and engineering. CodeCrew continues to play an important role in expanding access to technology education and workforce development opportunities for students and aspiring professionals throughout Memphis.
City Leadership and Choose901
We sponsored a Women’s Empowerment Brunch hosted by our client, City Leadership, with a special focus on the Choose901 Alumni campaign. The initiative helps connect Memphis students with mentorship, exposure, and career opportunities that encourage them to build their futures within the city. The event focused on leadership development, community connection, and empowering the next generation of Memphis professionals.
Carpenter Art Garden
We provided grant support to our client, Carpenter Art Garden, benefiting its “Seeds of Peace Community Programs.” Located in Memphis’ Binghampton neighborhood, Carpenter Art Garden creates accessible, year-round arts programming designed to cultivate creativity, connection, and opportunity for local youth and families. Their work continues to strengthen community engagement through the arts and neighborhood-centered programming.
Giving back to the communities we serve remains an important part of Adams Keegan’s culture and values. We are proud to support efforts that create opportunity, strengthen neighborhoods, and make a lasting impact across the Mid-South.
