Florida to Require Employer Use of E-Verify
Effective July 1, 2023, private employers in Florida with at least 25 employees will be required to process new hires through the E-Verify system to verify their authorization to work in the United States. Currently, only public employers and government contractors in the state are required to use the E-Verify system. All employers, regardless of size, must continue to follow the federal law and complete a Form I-9 for their new employees.
