FCRA Summary of Rights Update

Last month, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau made minor updates to the Summary of Rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). This Summary of Rights is required to be given to applicants and employees prior to running background checks or taking adverse action based on the results of those checks. While employers have almost a year before they must begin using the new document, it is a good idea to begin to use the updated version now so applicants and employees will be provided the most up to date information regarding their FCRA rights. Efficenter® now provides the updated Summary of Rights as part of our FCRA Disclosure & Authorization packet, located under the Documents tab. Click here to read more, courtesy of Littler Mendelson.
