EEO-1 Data Collection Expected to Open on May 20, 2025

The EEOC’s 2024 EEO-1 Component 1 data collection is expected to open on May 20, 2025. This opening is subject to approval from the White House Office of Management and Budget. The filing deadline for the 2024 EEO-1 Component 1 report is expected to be June 24, 2025. Private-sector employers with at least 100 employees, and federal contractors* with at least 50 employees meeting certain criteria, must file the EEO-1 Component 1 report. The annual data collection includes demographic workforce data by race/ethnicity, sex, and job categories.

*Although President Trump revoked Executive Order (EO) 11246, which required federal contractors with 50 or more employees to submit EEO-1 Reports, the EEO-1 Instruction Booklet still makes reference to EO 11246 and specifies that such contractors must still submit 2024 EEO-1 Reports.
