The company had numerous properties under management, each with a different hiring process. Due to the rapid expansion of the camping industry in the COVID era, a large number of additional employees needed to be hired, which exacerbated the issue. Many properties were using antiquated systems, including paper-only documentation, to collect data during the onboarding process.
Additionally, the natural, high level of turnover among seasonal members of staff, plus locations across multiple states each with different state employment practices, necessitated a streamlined process to properly equip the company for the high season.
Adams Keegan offered a streamlined approach to employee onboarding and reduced the administrative burden of tracking multiple processes for their corporate team. Our easy-to-use HRIS (Human Resources Information System), Efficenter, provided a simplified, centrally controlled and managed data system for their corporate team.
Additionally, new employees were able to self-onboard through Efficenter in an average time of 10 minutes or less, making the first employee to employer initial interaction an easy and positive experience.
Efficenter also allows additional information to be collected during the onboarding process, such as I-9 data, local tax information based on employee location, direct deposit or pay card information, and handbook and company policy verification through an easy digital signature. This collection of data, digitally housed in one single location, solved the corporate teams’ problem of not having accurate data on hiring dates, pay rates, job codes and ensuring employee compliance with corporate and camp level policies and procedures. Numerous paper files were removed, and the corporate staff had strategic control of employee administration from headquarters.
